This hotel in Yufuin is truly a gem! the location is perfect - just a short 10-minute walk from the train station. And if you need to grab some supplies, there's a supermarket nearby too. Secondly, the staff here are exceptionally helpful and friendly, going out of their way to make you feel welcome. They even allowed us to store our luggage before check-in. Thirdly, the rooms are traditional Japanese-style with tatami, giving you an authentic experience. And lastly, the breakfast served here is simply delicious, with a variety of traditional Japanese dishes to start your day off right.
All in all, our stay at this hotel was absolutely splendid.

Great food and location! The hotel offered a delicious breakfast and dinner, and the views of the surroundings were breathtaking. , the hotel was a short walk from public transportation, making it easy to explore the area. the onsen was a great experience to relax after a day of meetings.
The lack of bike rentals made it difficult to explore the town, but it was not a big issue since public transportation was available.

The location near the station and to a large field is great for exploring the rural countryside. It's also close to the Yufuin train station and a supermarket. We loved the individual little huts, tatami rooms, and warm tables. the food at dinner and breakfast was amazing. the onsen baths were beautiful, and we enjoyed the free WiFi provided.
The smell in one of the huts upon arrival left a negative impression.

Spending Christmas at this inn was a delightful experience. the food served was delicious and varied. the outdoor bath was the highlight of the property, offering a relaxing soak with stunning views of the natural surroundings. the location was also very convenient, as it was within walking distance of the train station, making traveling around town easy.
The limited English spoken by the staff, which made communication at times challenging. the shared bathing facilities made me feel a bit uncomfortable, as I am not used to bathing with strangers.
